Lois Calhoun  70, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.  Mary Elois Kassinger was born January 6, 1947 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Hershel Franklin and Mary Frances Frashure Kassinger and was married to Rondal Wayne Calhoun June 10, 1967.  Lois was a homemaker, earlier worked in housekeeping at the former Mercy Hospital, retired from Owensboro Mercy Health Systems, and was a member of the Methodist Faith.  She loved Elvis, was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan, and enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Kassinger and Carlos Kassinger.

          Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ron Calhoun; a son, Scott Calhoun of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Amanda Calycomb and husband, Tyler, Brennan Calhoun, Griffin Calhoun, and Peyton Calhoun all of Owensboro; four great grandchildren, Addison Claycomb, Treyce Claycomb, Maddux Claycomb, and Maxleigh Claycomb; a brother, Doug Kassinger of Owensboro; two sisters, Gail Miles of Livermore and Vicky Kassinger of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jeff French officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.  Friends may visit with Lois’ family from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday and from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.

          The Lois Calhoun family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky; 3419 Wathens Crossing; Owensboro, Kentucky  42301.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
