Linda Lou (Crabtree) Stone

Linda Lou Stone  73, of Hawesville, Kentucky, formerly of Owensboro and McLean County, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Linda Lou Crabtree was born November 28, 1942 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Robert Jefferson and Daisy Marie Burden Crabtree and married to Cecil Leroy Stone on July 3, 1964.  She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a bookkeeper.  Linda was a Baptist and enjoyed reading and caring for her cats.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Raymond Crabtree, Robert Crabtree, and Danny Crabtree.

          Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Cecil L. Stone; a daughter, Dr. Rebecca Stone Thornberry and her husband John of Marinette, Wisconsin; a sister, Shirley Leet and her husband Jim of Owensboro; a brother, Jackie Ray Crabtree and his wife Mary of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews; and her two cats, Tootie and Hallie.

          Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Dr. Richard Sams officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Linda’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Linda Lou Stone family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Daviess County Animal Shelter; 2620 Calhoun Road; Owensboro, KY 42301.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
