Lillie Mae Stone 75, of Calhoun, Kentucky, formerly of Owensboro, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. Lillie Mae Shaffer was born May 29, 1939 in Uniontown, Kentucky to the late George and Iza Newman Shaffer. She was a homemaker and member of Owensboro Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Roberson.
Survivors include two daughters, Glena Acton of Madisonville and Carla Gillaspie of Owensboro; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Shaffer and David Shaffer both of Owensboro; and a sister, Katherine Byrne of Owensboro.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Uniontown City Cemetery in Union County with the Rev. Melvin Clark officiating. Friends may visit with Lillie’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 12:50 P.M. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.
