Joe Calvert

Joe Calvert  61, of Island, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Joseph William Calvert was born March 1, 1956 in Owensboro, Kentucky to William Issac and Marjorie Elizabeth Martin Calvert and was married to the former Sherry Heath July 30, 1981.  Joe was a farmer, owner of Midtown Food and Video in Island, and a member of Island Baptist Church.  He was a member of Island Lodge # 763 F. & A.M. and enjoyed both metal detecting and storage auctions.  Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Calvert.

          Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sherry Calvert; two sons, Joseph C. Calvert of Island and Jonathan W. Calvert of Owensboro; a grandson, Joseph W. Calvert; his father, Bill Calvert of Island; and two sisters, Sharon Young and husband, Tom of Danville and Sue Dickinson of Greenville.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jim Nelson officiating.  Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Joe’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
