Jimmy Freels

Jimmy Freels  89, of Island, Kentucky died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro.  James Wesson Freels was born April 4, 1927 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Wesson and Addie Belle Nall Freels and was married to the former Guyneth Swift on December 16, 1948.  He was a farmer, a member and deacon of Island Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.  In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Nall Freels.

          Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Guyneth Freels; two sons, Pat Freels and wife, Theresa of Island and Mike Freels and wife, Judy of Owensboro; three daughters, Ruth Ann Freels of Orlando, Susan Richey and husband, Mike of Lawrenceburg, and Carol Sullivan and husband, Chad of Campbellsville; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel.  Burial will be in the Island Baptist Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415.  Friends may visit with Jimmy’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
