Jean Hayden Harris 82, of Owensboro, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Doretta Jean Howard was born October 18, 1934 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Gibby and Etta Cross Howard and was married to Lawrence Edward Harris September 19, 1980. Jean was retired registered nurse and member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed quilting and traveling in their RV. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a son, Steve Hayden who died March 18, 2017.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Larry Harris; a daughter, Shelly Hayden and husband, Terry Hamilton of Owensboro; a son, Brent Hayden and wife, Carol of Calhoun; two step sons, Brent A. Harris of Pensacola, Florida and Kent D. Harris of Charlestown, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and a sister, Joyce Quigg of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Friends may visit with Jean’s family from 2:30 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
