Frances Garst Hughes 91, of Livermore, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Owensboro. Erma Frances Garst was born October 28, 1926 in Livermore, Kentucky to the late Joseph William and Bobbie Ruth Crowder Garst and was married to Norman Lee Hughes. Frances was a homemaker, earlier worked at General Electric in Owensboro and was a member of Livermore General Baptist Church, where she served as the Sunday School Secretary for several years. She enjoyed caring for both her yard and flowers and working crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hughes, who died November 4, 1985.
Survivors include a daughter, Janella Fruehwald of Owensboro; three granddaughters, Natalie Fruehwald, Chelsea Lindsay and husband, Robbie both of Owensboro, and Allison Lambert and husband, Nick of Oak Grove; three great grandchildren, Heidi Lindsay, Brody Lindsay and Naomi Lambert; a brother, Allen Garst of Martinez, Georgia; and two sisters, Laura Peters of Livermore and Dean Hatfield of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Roy Day officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore. Friends may visit with Frances’ family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday at Musters in Livermore.
