Ethel “Tooter” Howard 95, of Buttonsberry, Kentucky died Friday, July 8, 2016 at Riverside Care & Rehab. Center in Calhoun. Ethel Mae Wilkey was born January 12, 1921 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Leona Allen Wilkey and was married to Earl Howard on November 7, 1940. She was a member of Buttonsberry Baptist Church, a homemaker, operated Howards Grocery for several years, and enjoyed cooking for her family. In addition to her parents “Tooter” was preceded in death by her husband Earl Howard on April 18, 1985, a sister and a granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons and their wives: Jackie Howard and Gina, Marvin Howard and Connie, and Zeke Howard and Jennifer all of Island; a daughter and her husband, Linda Huckleberry and Raymond of Island; 11 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 21 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with Rev. Barney Priar officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Tooter’s family from 9:00 A.M. until time of service Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
