Dr. John D. Strange

Dr. John D. Strange, DC  78, of Semiway, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home.  John Dale Strange was born June 15, 1938 in St. Anthony, Idaho to the late James Alvin and Hazel McCulloch Strange, was married to the former Jeanne Kayrl Sutton on December 8, 1976 until her death September 28, 2010 and was later married to the former Judy Gale English December 10, 2010.  Dr. Strange was the owner and operator of Calhoun Chiropractic for 35 years, a member of New Cypress Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a U.S. Navy Veteran.  He was a member and Past President of Kentucky Association of Chiropractors and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.  John also enjoyed boating, spending time at the lake, University of Kentucky Basketball, and NASCAR.

          Survivors include his wife, Judy Brackett Strange; three sons and their wives, Mike and Dana Bowman, Brock and Kimberly Bowman, and Bill and Robin Short all of Sacramento; three daughters and their husbands, Andi and Preston Randolph, Lisa and Dwight Payton both of Sacramento, and Kathy and Joey Lindsey of Madisonville; a step son and his wife, Steve and Christina Ramburger of Island; a step daughter, Kristal Sosh of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Verl Strange of Pocatello, Idaho; a sister and her husband, Shirley and Ace Daw of St. Anthony; several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Rev. John Butler officiating.  Burial will be in the New Cypress Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post 5415.  Friends may visit with Dr. Strange’s family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
