So sorry to hear of Eli's passing. I was reminded the other day, I was the one who probably, bestowed that nickname. Admired the guy, great athlete, very nice person.

Carrie and family,
We grief with you as you lay your dear loved one to rest. What a wonderful example of how a person, coach and mentor should be to the young people of our community. We know that the school, youth and parents thank him for the sacrifice he made to be a caring coach, teacher and friend. We are so extremely sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you during the hours, days, weeks and years to follow! May God wrap His loving arms around all of you and hold you tightly!

I was lucky enough to meet Coach Ellis. I coached one of his grandsons in travel basketball. He was always there to celebrate a win and to give encouragement to us all in a loss. A more positive soul I don't think I've known. Huge loss for the community. My prayers are with the family in this most difficult time.

Played baseball with and against Eli for 10 years he was a great athlete competitor and friend. He is gone away to young RIP my friend

I ran into Holly at Target & she told me about her dad. I was shocked to hear that news. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Carrie, I lost my husband on Valentine's Day. He had been 62 for 3 months. We only knew for 3-4 weeks anything was wrong. I understand this was an immediate situation. How hard that has to be.
I've learned what grieving is about. I'll keep all of you in my prayers because I've learned grieving isn't for just 2-3 days it's a process & a way of life. It's nice when you know people are still praying for comfort & strength for you months down the road.
Praying for God's comfort today, tomorrow & down the road.

I went to Emerson Elementary and OHS he was such a nice guy, then he was a mentor to my grandson Jarred Sosh and I appreciate him for always treating the young guys he helped coached he will be missed God Bless the family and prayers are with you all

To the Ellis Family. We are so sorry for your loss. May God give you the courage and strength to get you thru these difficult days. My husband was really close to Danny and I know he is going to miss him calling and ragging him. Danny was a great guy and he will be missed by many. I'm sure Danny is already up in Heaven telling jokes to God or trying to pull his leg. We will miss him more than words can say. God Bless everyone. 🙏🏻
