Carolyn Phillips

Carolyn Phillips  80, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her home in Owensboro.  Ruth Carolyn Phillips was born January 8, 1937 in Daviess County and was married to Aaron Louis Phillips.  Carolyn retired from General Electric in Owensboro and was a member of the Baptist Faith.  She was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed both reading and watching Wheel of Fortune.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Phillips, who died July 5, 1993.

          Survivors include a son, David Parrish; a granddaughter that she raised as her own daughter, Carolyn Tague; six additional grandchildren, Missy, David, Jr., Cortney, Amber, Brittany, and Ryan; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Fuchia Young of Lewisport.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Carolyn’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Calhoun.
