Billie D. Ellis 92, passed away quietly January 26, 2015 in St. Augustine, Florida. Billie Dee Stone was born November 5, 1922 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Charles and Emma Metcalf Stone and was married Orville Alvin Ellis in 1944. Billie and Orville were long-time residents of Owensboro and active members of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. The Ellis’ moved to St. Augustine in 1957, where she resided at the time of death. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her son, David Ellis; and by her sisters Dorothy Barnett and Lorene Bryan.
She is survived by her husband, Orville Ellis and her daughter, Mary Candace Ellis of St. Augustine.
Billie will be placed to rest beside her beloved son, David in Calhoun Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. There will be no local visitation. Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel is handling the local arrangements for the Ellis Family.
