Barbara Thomas

Barbara Thomas  82, of Sacramento, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Barbara Lee Thomas was born November 24, 1934 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Fred and Edith Withrow Thomas and was married to Bobby Wayne Thomas June 19, 1952.  Barbara was a homemaker, a member of Sacramento United Methodist Church and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bridge at Miss Janey’s in Sacramento, traveling, and spending time with both her family and friends.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Freddy Thomas.

          Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Bobby Thomas; two sons, Greg Thomas of Sacramento and Dr. Keith Thomas and wife, Karen of Owensboro; a daughter, Cheri Ogilby and husband, Guy of Sacramento; five grandchildren, Sarah Brown and husband, Ryan, Trevor Thomas and wife, Kelsie, Natalie Hardin and husband, Brent, Cody Ogilby, and Josh Ogilby; six great grandchildren, Cameron, Jaden, Bethany, Les, Bryn, and Seeley; and a sister, Doris Fenwick of Owensboro.

          Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Revs. Jesse Johnson and Michael Deaton officiating.  Burial will be in the Sacramento Methodist Cemetery in Sacramento.  Friends may visit with Barbara’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.

          The Barbara Thomas family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Sacramento Methodist Cemetery Fund; C/O Kathy Gish; P.O. Box 228; Sacramento, Kentucky  42372.  Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
