Arvin D. Vandiver

Arvin D. Vandiver  77, of Calhoun, Kentucky died Monday, June 20, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Henderson.  Arvin Douglas Vandiver was born October 1, 1938 in Sacramento, Kentucky to the late Hobart McKinley and Effie Magdalene Wilcox Vandiver and was married to the former Carolyn Sue Evans on September 16, 1989.  Arvin retired from Daramic / W.R. Grace, Incorporated of Owensboro and was a member of the Baptist Faith.  He loved animals and also enjoyed being outdoors, horse racing, fishing, playing checkers, and gardening. 

          Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Carolyn Sue Vandiver; a daughter, Shelly Lane of Henderson; two grandson and their wives, Randy and Sara Lane of Owensboro and Michael and Kelli Lane of Utica; and four great grandchildren, Weston Lane, Kennedy Lane, Kinsley Lane, and Braylee Lane.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.  Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County.  Friends may visit with Arvin’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
